How to make a healthy barbecue this summer?

Summer and barbecues seem to go hand in hand, and at this time of year we love to enjoy good weather and outdoor gatherings with friends and family. In the case of meats, we must opt for the options with less fat and less processed and we will choose the leanest cuts such as chicken or turkey breast, rabbit or pork or veal loin. To cook these cuts in a tasty way, we will choose the barbecue grill and we can season with spices to add flavor to the meat.

Grilled fish

We must get used to cooking more fish on the barbecue, since they are very tasty and juicy. We should not be afraid that the meat of the fish will break or stick, since with a very simple trick we can avoid it. To do this, you must paint the fish piece with olive oil, lemon, salt or spices and wrap it with aluminum foil forming a package. Thus, the fish will cook in its juice and will not break. The richest fish to cook this way are salmon, sardines or mackerel, for example.

Colorful greens and vegetables

In the plant world we find infinite options. They will serve as a garnish for meat and fish or as a complete dish for vegetarians and vegans. Choose different colorful vegetables to make it more palatable and create the healthiest skewers. You can choose tomato, onion, peppers, eggplant, zucchini, sweet potato, mushrooms and mushrooms or the classic and delicious ears of corn. As for the way to prepare them, it is better to cut thick slices to make on the grill with olive oil. We can also cook vegetables in pieces wrapped in aluminum foil with spices to make them juicy or create the most complete skewers with vegetables, meat, fish or seafood.
