It's clear that originally its use began in the middle of winter as a response to counteract the cold. However, its use today has become one of the most IN trends in decoration at the moment. We are talking about the superimposed rugs that are gaining more and more supporters.

Until now, the only option has been to use just one, so it was about occupying the space we wanted to fill with a large rug. However, with the variety of fabrics and types, whether they are wool, long or short hair, neutral or colored, they provide us with a range of possibilities to overlap them.

Advantages and disadvantages

One of the Main advantages is that in winter they are a great ally against the cold, as we have said before. The second advantage is that to fill a gap in the room you will not have to look for them or order them to measure because what is in style is precisely that they break with the order. In addition, they end up providing personality thanks to the variety of volumes, textures and colors.
On the other hand, the disadvantages are that not all of them are ideal for this type of trend. Those with long and thick hair do not blend properly with other styles and, in addition, can hinder the natural passage of people or furniture, such as a desk chair in an office.

However, the star combination involves choosing a large rectangular, neutral-colored rug as a base and layering another leather one on top. Other great options are rectangular rugs with circular, square, or irregular shapes.

3. Another main rule is the density of the carpet. That is, the flatter or smoother it will be, the easier it will be to marry another. On the contrary, superimposing them thick would not be a great choice, the more volume, the greater the obstacle.
